this was about a month ago (the day before my birthday), but nathaniel got his first haircut




he was so happy and smiley the whole haircut. i think because we were lavishing so much attention (his cousins & aunt/uncle/grandparents were present, because that's the way it often is in the summer) to make sure he stayed engaged and didn't move too much.


people keep asking us if i cried or he cried about cutting it, but i was pretty much over it by the time we cut it. it was cute and all, but it was too damn hot, and he's still cute! in any case, i don't imagine i will diligently cut it every month, so it will get shaggy again. and he seems so unencumbered for the summertime now.
